Pocket Pharmacist (“the App”) is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. The information it surfaces — including drug interactions, ingredient overlaps, enzyme information, symptom triage signals, and any AI-generated summaries — is not medical advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Use of the App does not create a doctor–patient, pharmacist–patient, or any other professional relationship. Always seek the advice of your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified health provider with any questions you have regarding a medication, a medical condition, or your treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in the App.

• The App may not reflect the most current medical knowledge, dosing guidance, or product labeling.
• Drug and interaction data may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors, and may not cover every product, formulation, or region.
• Results depend on the medications you enter; missing, misspelled, or incorrect entries will produce incomplete or misleading output.
• The App does not account for your full medical history, allergies, lab values, pregnancy status, or other individual factors.

In an emergency— for example, difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe allergic reaction, or a suspected overdose — do not use the App. Call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume full responsibility for any decisions or actions you take based on the App, and you use it at your own risk.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the App. The App is not directed at children and is not intended for use in making medical decisions for anyone without the involvement of a qualified professional.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial, informational use. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing service from the App or its underlying data except as permitted by law.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its infrastructure.
• Do not rely on the App as the sole basis for any clinical, diagnostic, or treatment decision.

5. Third-party data

The App draws on third-party data sources, which may include the U.S. FDA openFDA API, DailyMed, among others. These sources are provided by their respective owners subject to their own terms and licenses. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of third-party data.

6. No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will the App’s operators, contributors, or data providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, or for any personal injury or health outcome, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.

8. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the App, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App’s operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. We designed the App to keep as much of your information as possible on your own device.

Information stored on your device

Your saved analyses, discussion sheets, and app preferences (such as your chosen language) are stored locally on your deviceusing your device’s storage. This data is not, by itself, transmitted to us or shared with third parties, and it is removed if you clear it in the App or uninstall the App.

Information sent to our servers

To provide its core features, the App sends certain information to our backend service so it can be processed and returned to you. This includes the drugs in your list, any free-text symptoms you enter, and your chosen language.

This information is used solely to create the requested result. We do not ask for your name, account credentials, or contact details to use these features, and we do not use this information to build a profile about you.

Data retention

We do not maintain a personal profile or account for you. Requests are processed to generate your result, and operational logs, where kept, are retained only as long as needed to run and secure the service.

Your choices

You can clear your medications and saved results at any time from within the App. Because on-device data stays on your device, clearing it there removes it. You control which drugs and symptoms you submit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
